The weather in the Chicago area over the last 2 years has been far from normal. This year is no different. However, unlike the heat of last year, this summer has had extremely comfortable and mild temperatures. Our spring was extremely wet, setting records for rainfall. This lead to a very good , but late growing season. At GroundsKeeper we delayed our late spring shrub trimming due to the weather as plants bloomed much later than normal. It has also been a fairly good year for grass as we have seen minimal turf issues so far. This weather was good for our plants but will probably not stop the issues we will see with trees over the next 3 to 5 years due to last year. As always, we will try to keep you informed about the weather and your plants. We will continue to send paper copies of our newsletters periodically but continue to make the effort to transition the newsletter to email.
